When ever I photograph a home/house interior report I just can’t resist shooting the collections of things which some people have gathered into one space, it’s like a 3d scrap book, a memories holder, it sometimes surprises the owner of the home, but it always brings a smile to their face, that the precious items have not been unnoticed. Usually they are random collections of objects which don’t always have an obvious thread that holds them together except the fact they are on a shelf together or the best ones are in proper display in a cabinet, mostly they are of no real value on their own but in the group they become something that most people value hugely, much more than the design classics they might own, the car boot/charity shop finds, heirlooms and tacky souvenirs all have pride of place, and a special place in the heart of the owner, so bring out your trinkets and knick knacks and what some people might consider junk they say more about you than you could believe……….
