Another house from a New York trip, this time not from Manhattan or an NYC neighbourhood but from the Hampton’s the idyllic Sag Harbor to be exact, this house was down the end of an unassuming road, and tucked away down an equally unassuming short drive way, maybe it started life as an out building once upon a time, I just loved the wooden shingle cladding from the moment I saw the recce pictures, I will be up in the Hampton’s on my next trip to NYC for a few days shooting in Bridgehampton & Southampton, so hopefully some more beautiful American exteriors to add soon
I am really getting excited about the trip to NYC in July, and so can’t stop thinking about some of my favourite New Yorkinteriors which I have photographed on previous trips, this one belongs to the interior decorator & blogger Nick Olsen, I have always loved these images and the have been a fixture in my interior folio for some time now, so apologies to those of you who have seen them before, later this autumn they will be appearing in a new book along with some more of my photography, more on that later. Check out Nick’s blog here for more tips on decorating in small spaces, still lining up shoot projects for the trip so give me a call if you need something doing in the Big Apple …..
The very successful Girls Guide to Decorating which I worked on with my good friend Abigail Ahern has now been available in soft cover for a few months & by all accounts it’s being just as successful as the hardcover but it’s made me remember some of the amazing interiors we photographed in NYC, so I felt the urge to blog about one of my favourite New York houses that I have shot on our visits to the Big Apple. To where I am returning in July this year, already got two photographic projects lined up to work on, but always room for more NYC time in my life, so if you needing an interior photographed in NYC early in July drop me a line @ email@example.com
