more inspiration from Berlin, I saw this Photomat on the roundabout @ Kottbusser Tor on the way to shoot Lizzy’s apartment on our last day shooting in Berlin, I especially loved the examples of what one could achieve using this remarkable piece of photo equipment, goes to show that with any camera the possibilities are endless

Anyone who lives in Hackney will tell you stories about something wonderful they have found on the street, on their way to and from home. That’s how we came across these beautiful chairs - they were in need of a lot of TLC and some new webbing! Jo found them by the roadside one day, on her way home from our boys school, we then sourced some super cheap cotton velvet in Foy & Co near Cowbridge just outside Cardiff, and then got Mike a friend of Jo’s parents to do a great job of creating the beautiful cushions for them. The shots above are from two of the interior / lifestyle shoots by Graham, in which they’ve been used. On the left for SpaceNK and on the right is an Alexander McQueen designed rug, for The Rug company for their collection magazine & blog. our friend victoria metcalf of style NV told us about this amazing blog jjjjound.com she had found, where the images above and below have been taken from. the blog is just images: which really appeals to me as a photographer, and what a fab selection they are, so eclectic and inspiring, anyone who’s doing picture research needs to go there straight away, i know i will be a regular visitor whenever i need cheering up, or am in need inspiration thanks jjjjound.com for bringing all these great pictures to our attention.

i recently had the pleasure of meeting and spending a day with jennifer guerrini-maraldi and photographing her lovely home/art gallery in battersea south london. after a very successful career working in the fashion media, jennifer now deals in the art of indigenous artist from her home country of australia, the works which she has on display all around her home have such an amazing clamming effect, i really would love to own one but there so many to choose from it would be a long & difficult process. this new path that jen has chosen is clearly very close to her heart, her passion for the works was clear to see when she started to explain some of the meanings behind the paintings and sculptors. to see the whole picture story go to gap interiors

Another day some more sneak previews of the new colour scheme, @ www.location78.com the whole set will I promise be online V soon, we feel this is the most exciting of all the new developments, the black walls ceiling and floor of the living room of which we are super proud of all our hard work, and very excited to hear what everyone thinks, the black or if you like very dark grey is such a great foil for bright colours it makes for a great background to make the colours of the new pieces POP, I have already shot my first commission here since the decorative changes for a luxury Christmas gift guide, pictures soon on www.grahamatkinshughes.com , more previews tomorrow
