No not that ‘White House’ this white house, or should I say the Wright House as this home was a redesign by James of Macdonald Wright Architects for his family. Now as anyone who knows me would tell you that white interiors are not always my thing, you just have to look at our own home to see what I mean. But this home which was shot with Victoria Tunstall has always been one of my fav shoots. Of course because of what’s been going on with the other ‘White House’ these images sprang to mind and instantly cheered me right up. Hope you like it too!
Well on a cold and frosty morning such as we had this morning, you’d be forgiven for considering if today was a duvet day, but sadly not for most of us. So to warm up your eyes I have collected together some cozy images from the archive, hope you like them and they give you that warm feeling you’re in need of.
Images from shots for Gifford’s Circus, Kiss the Moon, the home of Pearl Lowe and if you like the second to last image check out this Irish Red Setter recuse site
Here’s a splash of colour for you and your interiors on the dreary and rainy day in London, interiors shot for our wonderful client Dulux, see more inspiration here @LCM and you could also check out the site of Lucy Gough who along with her very happy team worked her styling magic. Hope you like them.
Come in, the pallet is super cool, here are a few images I shoot recently for our great client Minale and Mann an award winning end to end architectural design agency based in Battersea London, check out their work, it’s very stylish in it’s simplicity, as we all know less is always more, but difficult to pull off, form what I’ve seen of their output they are very consistent. These and other images from the work we have done together will be getting added to my Luxe Interiors folio, very soon.
Hi there we have just been adding some new images to the location78.com web site, showing new views of the rooms with some of the new accessories which the wonderful Jo has been adding over the last few months. swing by and check it out
The short film I co wrote and directed BE NOW is in competition this week in #LasVegasLiftOff online festival.
LiftOff says ‘So many times our film festival has tended to stay away from these types of poetically narrated memoir-esq music videos, but for all the right reasons we knew that BE NOW was special’
See if you agree vegas-online.lift-off-festivals.com and vote in the comments section if you do, it would mean the world to me and everyone who work with me..
No I’m not talking about the British pop trio from the 80’s, although there is a tenuous link, as those boys originally formed their band ‘Living in a Box’ in the home of British steel, Sheffield and this box, created by the team at Minale + Mann is to enclose a single cast steel staircase. Bit of a challenge to photograph a glass box, but anyone that’s ever been on a shoot with me will testify that I do love a bit of a photographic conundrum, hope you like the results, and if you’re looking for a stunning staircase get yourself in touch with the MM team.
Well there it goes, 2015 is almost over, and 2016 is almost upon us, January is set to go past in a flash as I have lots of shoots coming up. While having a Christmas catch up on the magazine front, I came across this image in Dec ’15 Elle Deco, it’s great to see that the collection photography I shot for French Connection Home is so popular, you can see more from the shoot here and if you liked this collection the one I have just shot with Louisa Grey doing the styling is full of new surprises I’m sure you’ll love. See you in 2016.
Happy Friday to you all, hope you’ve been having a constructive day, working hard so to can with a clear conscience put your feet up for a well earned weekend off. Well I am in the process of having a reorganise on the old web site. While I am putting some of my latest work up I’m also adding back in some of my all time favourites. These images are one of those, this truly magical home belonging to Lorraine Kirk owner of a unique fashion store in Perry Street NYC, Geminola , we, Abigail Ahern & myself were there to shot the living room for Abi’s 1st book Girls Guide to Decorating, I arrived before Abi as she was in the hotel sorting out the rest of our week shooting in NYC. I was blown away by the house, and had to use all my Irish Blarney to talk Lorraine into allowing us to stay a little longer than planned to shoot the rest of the house. This all happen back in 2008, see it is an oldie, but I remember it so clearly as if it were yesterday. I still love these images we made that day. Lorraine’s style is so distinctive, you can tell that everything is there because there is a reason for it to be there, and it just works, hope you like them as much as I do. My newly organised folio will be getting launched on Monday. Have a great weekend.
